Job Title: Social Services Professional

We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Social Services Professional.

This is a critical role that requires the ability to provide clinical and administrative leadership, setting professional standards and contributing to workforce planning and clinical practice development.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in social work, with extensive experience in complex health settings. They will be required to implement safety and quality processes to enhance service delivery across multiple sites.

A key aspect of this role is maintaining a clinical caseload, reflecting experience and commitment to direct care. The successful candidate will also be required to collaborate with senior staff and act as Acting Head of Department during periods of absence or leave to provide continuity and stability.

  • A Social Work degree and eligibility for the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
  • Extensive clinical and management experience in complex health settings
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills, including experience with financial, risk, staff supervision, and workforce management
  • Experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating quality/service improvement and research activities; commitment to professional development and staff training
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including advocacy and negotiation, with the ability to build effective partnerships across internal and external stakeholders and to supervise staff and lead team performance
