We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join our Sales team at BlueScope Distribution. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for growing and building strong partnering relationships with our customers, driving profitable growth of revenue, margin, and market share for our BlueScope Distribution business within the Sheet & Coil & Framing market.
Key Responsibilities- Identify new business opportunities and improve our share of wallet with existing customers, with a focus on sheet and coil products.
- Work closely with the sales team to grow revenue, margin, and market share.
- Identify new customers through building sustainable relationships with key stakeholders, including industry bodies and specialists.
- Research and investigate key industry projects for future business growth opportunities.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and input into key customer supply proposals, quotes, and tender submissions across the business within the Sheet & Coil space and Framing market.
- Experience in the development and execution of end-to-end targeted sales and growth strategies for targeted markets within the steel industry.
- Business-to-business sales experience.
- Effective relationship management and influencing capability.
- Commercial acumen with an understanding of pricing and margin and its impact on profitability.
