About the Role

The City of Charles Sturt is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director to lead the City Futures Division. This is a key leadership role that will drive the strategic direction, planning, and decision-making for the division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the strategic direction and planning for the City Futures Division, including City Infrastructure, City Planning and Sustainability, City Property and Open Space, and Development Assessment.
  • Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to develop and implement strategic plans that align with the Council's goals and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including the Mayor, Elected Members, and community groups.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the division's staff, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to deliver high-quality services.
  • Drive operational efficiencies and improve performance through the implementation of best practices and innovative solutions.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Business (Management, Commerce, Community Development, Planning, Engineering, Marketing, or similar).
  • Significant experience in a senior management position in a large, complex, and diverse organization.
  • Experience in managing change and implementing new and emerging technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, leadership, and team management.
  • Masters in Business Administration (MBA) or similar postgraduate qualifications is desirable.
