We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Clinician to join our Psychiatric Emergency Care team in the Emergency Department and Mental Health Telephone Triage. This is a full-time or part-time ongoing position based in Gippsland, Victoria.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct timely assessments of mental health consumers using the Client Management Interface (CMI) document
- Provide recovery-oriented practice using the Optimal Health Program
- Develop and implement safety plans in collaboration with consumers, carers, and the multi-disciplinary team
- Utilize evidence-based interventions and collaborate with community organizations to meet identified needs
- Monitor consumers' physical and medical states in conjunction with their mental state and associated treatments
- Able to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for mental health consumers
- Sound knowledge of the Mental Health Act 2014 and other relevant legislation
- Capacity to work effectively within a team structure and as a sole clinician
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with internal and external services
- Working knowledge of NSQHS
