    Job Title:  Mental Health Professionals (Psychological Therapies) Stepped Care Model – Cairns, Queensland.
                                                                
    Hours:  Permanent – Full-Time or Part-Time.

    Practice Information:
    This organisation provides allied health, home and community support, mental health and wellbeing and services throughout rural, regional and remote Queensland. Their goal is to assist in improving the physical, social and emotional wellbeing of the clients they work with. The team aims to make sure patients, their loved ones and carers receive the help they need. Whether they’re struggling with daily tasks or just need a little extra assistance, this organisation provides the right healthcare to improve patients quality of life. This is a multidisciplinary organisation, services include support workers to community care drivers, physiotherapists, speech pathologists, mental health workers and more. They serve over 50 communities across remote, rural and regional areas of Australia, including Townsville, Mount Isa, Longreach, Cairns, Mackay, Normanton, Doomadgee, Cloncurry and Mornington Island.

    Position Details:
    This organisation is part of a Regional Provider Network, that is taking a new approach to delivering client-centred mental health services. Partnering with several providers, their services take a collaborative approach, integrating different aspects of the mental health care system, to deliver a cohesive, easy-to-access, system of mental health care. They are seeking mental health professionals who are willing to work as part of this system and who are committed to the key guiding principles, which are outlined below:

    These principles provide the foundation for the system and guide service delivery. The organisation is currently recruiting to various roles based in either Cairns, Townsville or Mackay to join our team as a Mental Health Professional.  Roles include:

    • Psychologists (various levels)
    • Accredited Mental Health Nurses
    • Mental Health Occupational Therapists
    • Accredited Mental Health Social Workers

    Primary to this role, is delivering quality client-centred mental health assessment, treatment and/or case coordination services, in an integrated, stepped care model of service delivery. This is a voluntary service, for clients of all levels of complexity, and across the lifespan.

    Suitable professions include:

    • Registered Psychologists (Provisional Psychologists are welcome and encouraged to apply)
    • Mental Health Accredited Nurse (Mental Health Nurses eligible or working towards ACMHN will also be considered)
    • Mental Health Accredited Social Workers
    • Mental Health Occupational Therapists

    Salary Information:
    On offer is a starting salary commensurate with qualifications and experience, plus:

    • Up to $15,900 salary sacrificing
    • Annual leave loading of 17.5%
    • 5 weeks of annual leave
    • Relocation assistance
