Mental Health Specialist for Regional Areas

We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Clinician to join our team at Edmen in the regions of Toowoomba, Lockyer Valley, and Somerset. As a leading community service provider, we offer a dynamic work environment that prioritizes employee satisfaction and client outcomes.
About You
You will have a strong understanding of mental health diagnoses, treatment modalities, and recovery-oriented practices. Key qualifications include:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field such as Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Mental Health Nursing, or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health
- Registration with the appropriate professional regulatory body (e.g., AHPRA, AASW)
- Experience utilising telehealth platforms for remote service delivery
- Ongoing commitment to professional development and staying updated with the latest research and best practices in mental health
- Holding a current Blue Card and National Criminal Check, as well as a current Australian Driver Licence and reliable vehicle to support community-based work as needed
About the Role
The successful candidate will provide high-quality health and wellbeing services to individuals in the designated regions. This includes conducting comprehensive intake assessments to determine the mental health needs of adult consumers, providing evidence-based individual and group therapy to address a range of mental health concerns, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care for clients.
Key responsibilities also include delivering crisis intervention and support to clients experiencing acute mental health episodes, maintaining accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation in accordance with organisational policies and legal requirements, and contributing to the achievement of organisational goals and objectives.
