Holiday Inn Werribee is a hotel in Melbourne that showcases the new Holiday Inn open lobby concept. Situated in the heart of the Werribee city centre, the hotel occupies the top 4 floors of the mixed-use 12-storey premises and boasts sweeping views right across to the You Yangs and Wyndham Harbour.

The hotel offers 150 stylishly appointed guest rooms, a gym, all-day dining, and modern conference and events spaces.

A Little Taste of Your Day-to-Day

  • You will work on a rotational roster with early starts preparing hot and cold items for the buffet breakfast and eggs to guests' liking, lunch, and dinner cooking dishes from the Rosana Bistro seasonal a la carte menu, and conference and events with a capacity up to 250 pax.
  • You will work throughout the kitchen sections such as Grill, Pans, and Larder.
  • You will produce high-quality food and presentation with a la carte dishes and buffet style.
  • You will follow kitchen and hotel policies, procedures, and brand standards.
  • You will maintain daily cleaning throughout the kitchen.
  • You will follow HAACP regulations and guidelines.

What We Need from You

  • Certificate III Commercial Cookery qualification is essential.
  • A valid Food Handlers Certificate is required.
  • Experience working in a hotel kitchen or similar culinary environment will be highly desirable.
  • Knowledge and experience with Modern Australian cuisine are necessary.
  • You will need exceptional organisational skills with efficiency completing tasks prior to service periods.
  • You will be able to work autonomously and collaborate with a positive 'can-do attitude' amongst the front and back of house culinary team.
  • This is a physical role, so you must be fit and able to be on your feet throughout your shift.
  • Literacy skills - reading, writing, and basic maths skills are essential.
  • You must have full valid Australian Working Rights.

Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per annum
