About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled AO4 Engagement Officer to join our team at Precruitment. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in facilitating the efficient delivery of the Northern District's Queensland Transport and Roads Infrastructure Program (QTRIP).

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic communication advice and support to program managers and district staff on risk assessment, issues management, community consultation, and communication strategies for projects.
  • Write and coordinate correspondence, draft media statements, and respond to media inquiries for the Minister's office and senior management to support Northern District's road infrastructure program.
  • Conduct community engagement and stakeholder consultations during the development and delivery of Northern District's road infrastructure program.
Requirements
  • A degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or marketing is highly desirable.
  • Experience in a communication or community engagement role in an environment dealing with major infrastructure projects, particularly in the transport or civil engineering sector, will also be highly regarded.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills at an A04 level.
  • Ability to work as a team and adapt to a fast-changing environment.
