As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for facilitating the efficient delivery of the Northern District's Queensland Transport and Roads Infrastructure Program (QTRIP) through strategic communication services.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Communication Advice and Support

Provide expert communication advice and support to program managers and district staff on risk assessment, issues management, community consultation, and communication strategies for projects, utilizing appropriate tools and techniques.

Content Creation and Media Relations

Write and coordinate correspondence, draft media statements, and respond to media inquiries for the Minister's office and senior management to support Northern District's road infrastructure program.

Community Engagement and Stakeholder Consultations

Conduct community engagement and stakeholder consultations during the development and delivery of Northern District's road infrastructure program, ensuring effective communication and stakeholder management.

Requirements
  1. Education and Experience

A degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or marketing is highly desirable. Experience in a communication or community engagement role in an environment dealing with major infrastructure projects, particularly in the transport or civil engineering sector, will also be highly regarded.

Skills and Abilities

You will have excellent communication and customer service skills, as well as the ability to work as a team and adapt to a fast-changing environment. Strong engagement skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a dynamic and results-driven environment are essential.
