About the Role

The Government of New South Wales is seeking a highly skilled Project Officer to join our team in the Building Commission NSW. As a Project Officer, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and implementation of policies and programs that drive innovation and excellence in the building and construction industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and escalate inbound enquiries on qualification matters
  • Organise and maintain standard operating procedures and related materials
  • Monitor and map all recognised regulatory qualifications, requirements and pathways for each license class
  • Support the revision to legal instruments and website content to reflect required qualification changes
  • Coordinate working groups, committees, and consultations to facilitate exchange of information
  • Develop and maintain customer, stakeholders and vendor relationships through effective communication
  • Support wider project activities where necessary
Requirements
  • Flexibility and adaptability to support any of the activities undertaken by the Senior Project Officer with internal and external stakeholders
  • Passion and a desire to actively collaborate across Building Commission NSW and with key stakeholders to achieve outcomes and keep them informed
  • Take a hands-on approach to understanding systems and user interfaces to inform procedure development
  • Self-driven and using your initiative to work through challenging, complex matters while remaining calm under pressure
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
