About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Timetabling Team Leader to join our team at The Sunrise Project. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading a team of timetablers and ensuring the smooth operation of our educational scheduling processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a Timetabling Team: You will be responsible for leading a team of two timetablers and ensuring they support the admissions and enrolment processes, that course preferences for students link to admission timelines, enrolment scheduling, and course governance.
  • Manage Timetabling Processes: You will manage the production of timetables, working with colleagues to proactively and accurately maintain and update timetable software to reflect timetable activity, resource bookings, and rescheduled classes.
  • Develop Timetabling Procedures: You will set up and oversee effective timetabling processes and procedures and ensure effective communication to ensure necessary data is correctly provided.
  • Contribute to Strategic Planning: You will contribute to strategic modelling and analysis, and future room planning. Develop a suite of reports to inform management decision-making, including reporting in relation to occupancy, staff, space utilisation, and cost per head.
  • Build Relationships: You will develop strong and effective internal and external relationships e.g. student and academic communities and key departments including Heads of Department, Education Managers, and Course Convenors.
Requirements
  • Proven Experience: You will have proven experience in a similar role with direct experience in scheduling/timetabling in a complex environment.
  • Relevant Qualifications: You will have relevant tertiary qualifications and equivalent training or experience.
  • Leadership Skills: You will have the ability to successfully lead a team.
  • Technical Skills: You will have proven experience using timetabling technologies such as Syllabus Plus, TimeEdit, CELCat, Schedule+.
  • Project Management: You will have experience with project work and/or leading new technology initiatives.
  • Interpersonal Skills: You will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to form, build, and maintain effective working relationships with people at all levels.
  • Organisational Skills: You will have the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain a high degree of accuracy within a changing work environment.
