Corporate Governance Expert for Perpetual Wealth

About the OpportunityWe are seeking a skilled Company Secretary to join our Perpetual Wealth Business. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective operation of our boards and committees, while also providing support on legal matters related to corporate governance and compliance.
The successful candidate will have proven experience as a Company Secretary or in a similar role, with outstanding organizational skills, stakeholder management abilities, and attention to detail. They will be self-motivated and able to work well independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision from the CFO.
Key Responsibilities- Perform duties and responsibilities of a Company Secretary for PWM to various boards and committees as required by the Corporations Act and other relevant legislation;
- Ensure regulatory and corporate governance requirements are met and liaise with internal and external stakeholders as required;
- Provide support to the board on legal matters, particularly in relation to corporate governance and compliance;
- Incorporate best practice corporate governance processes into board business and maintain strong corporate governance frameworks.
- Proven experience as a Company Secretary or in a similar governance/compliance role;
- Outstanding organizational skills, including ability to set priorities and pursue tasks to completion within deadlines;
- Outstanding stakeholder management and communications skills;
- Advanced computer and document control knowledge and experience;
- Experience with electronic board, share registry, and regulatory portals;
- Outstanding attention to detail;
- Self-motivated with high level of initiative, with minimal supervision from the CFO;
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion;
- Ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
- Salary range: AU$120,000 - AU$150,000 per annum;
