About the Role

The Company Secretary will perform various duties and responsibilities for the Perpetual Wealth Business to different boards and committees as required by the Corporations Act, the Companies' Constitutions, and other relevant legislation or regulations.

The successful candidate will ensure that all matters related to the effective and efficient operation of the boards and committees are handled proactively and diligently.

Key responsibilities include ensuring regulatory and corporate governance requirements are met, liaising with internal and external stakeholders as needed, providing support to the board on legal matters, particularly in relation to corporate governance and compliance.

The ideal candidate will incorporate best practice corporate governance processes into board business and maintain strong corporate governance frameworks.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Company Secretary or in a similar governance/compliance role.
  • Outstanding organizational skills, including ability to set priorities and pursue tasks to completion within deadlines.
  • Outstanding stakeholder management and communications skills.
  • Advanced computer and document control knowledge and experience.
  • Experience with electronic board, share registry, and regulatory portals.
  • Outstanding attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with high level of initiative, with minimal supervision from the CFO, PWM.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
