The Wealth Management business comprises four distinct brands – Perpetual Private, Fordham, Jacaranda Financial Planning, and Priority Life – offering a unique blend of wealth management, advice, and trustee services. Job Title: Chief Governance OfficerAbout the Role
  • Perform the duties and responsibilities of a Chief Governance Officer for PWM, attending to various boards and committees as required by the Corporations Act, Companies' Constitutions, and relevant legislation or regulation;
  • Ensure proactive and diligent management of all matters related to the effective operation of the boards and committees;
  • Guarantee compliance with regulatory and corporate governance requirements, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders as necessary;
  • Provide support to the board on legal matters, particularly regarding corporate governance and compliance; and
  • Integrate best practice corporate governance processes into board business while maintaining robust corporate governance frameworks.
About You

We're looking for someone with:

  • Proven experience as a Chief Governance Officer or in a similar governance/compliance role;
  • Outstanding organisational skills, including ability to set priorities and pursue tasks to completion within deadlines;
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills;
  • Advanced knowledge of computer and document control systems and experience;
  • Familiarity with electronic board, share registry, and regulatory portals;
  • Outstanding attention to detail;
  • Self-motivation with a high level of initiative, requiring minimal supervision from the CFO, PWM;
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion; and
  • Capability to work well independently and in a team environment, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a changing digital landscape.
Salary and Benefits

Our salary package includes a competitive annual salary, ranging between $120,000 and $180,000 AUD, depending on qualifications and experience. In addition to the base salary, employees enjoy up to six weeks of leave per year and flexible working arrangements, allowing them to work from anywhere in Australia for up to one month annually.
