Electrical Network Operations Manager

This is a critical leadership position within Jemena's Electricity Control Room, where you will oversee half of the team responsible for safe and effective planning, control, and coordination of Networks & Assets in a 24/7 environment.
As an Electrical Network Operations Manager, you will work closely with your colleague to enhance safety, performance, and efficiency while integrating new technologies and methods. Your focus will be on maintaining high technical standards and preparing the team for the evolving energy landscape, particularly in electricity and power distribution.
Your key responsibilities will include providing support and direction to the team, fostering a safe, positive, and productive work environment. You will also ensure the effective implementation and maintenance of policies and systems to support operational excellence, as well as oversee and manage compliance reporting to ensure all regulatory requirements are met and upheld.
In addition, you will build and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders, ensuring their needs and expectations are effectively managed.
About YouTo succeed in this role, you should have at least 5 years' experience working within the utilities industry, specifically electricity distribution networks. Your background should include involvement in operational or technical roles, or trade-based roles specializing in instrumentation, electrical, or mechanical.
You will ideally have knowledge in the operation of an electrical distribution network, including operating procedures and practices. You will also have a high level of understanding of electrical Sub Transmission, High, and Low Voltage distribution network elements, including knowledge of construction, maintenance, and testing activities.
