As a Business Development Specialist, Database, you will be part of the Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) Startup team, focusing on helping Startups scale quickly and cost-effectively on AWS.
About the Role
As a trusted business advisor within customer accounts, you will provide technical thought leadership and interact with CxO/VP-level executives, developers, and technical architects to ease adoption, develop pipeline, secure lighthouse customers, drive top-line revenue, and explore strategic partnerships. Your expertise in relational databases, NoSQL databases, data warehouse solutions, and large-scale database workloads will be instrumental in creating innovative solutions for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Become a go-to expert in database management systems, leveraging your knowledge to develop and deploy programs that leverage AWS Field teams, technology, and consulting partner channels.
- Collaborate with AWS Product and Technical teams to create reference architectures, patterns, automation, and release plans that solve customer problems.
- Own the GTM strategy and execution for AWS Databases focused on Startup customers in ANZ, working closely with Sales, Partners, Marketing, and other Specialists.

What You'll Need
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- 7+ years of relevant GTM, Sales, or Consulting experience
- 5+ years of technology domain experience in database management systems
- Bachelor's Degree Required

Compensation Package
We estimate the salary for this role to be around $150,000 - $200,000 per year, depending on location and experience. Additionally, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
