We are seeking an expert PostgreSQL Database Administrator to join our team at Darumatic. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of database management, including administration, configuration, installation, maintenance, tuning, and support of database environments.

This is a highly skilled role that requires the ability to ensure high availability and performance of the clearing database environment. The successful candidate will work closely with our support team colleagues to configure hardware resources for optimum performance and availability.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Managing non-production, production, and disaster recovery database environments.
  • Proactively monitoring database environments to ensure minimum downtime.
  • Providing regular trend analysis to track database performance and throughput.
  • Responsible for enhancements, maintenance, and upgrades to the database environment.
  • Working with business, architecture, development, and technical colleagues to manage and implement changes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Expert Postgres Enterprise and/or Community knowledge.
  • Red Hat Cluster experience, preferably using PostGres databases.
  • Extensive experience implementing and supporting streaming replication between different sites.
  • Strong implementation and support experience of SQL and PostGres technologies.
  • High-level Linux administration skills.
  • Experience with OEM, Engineered Systems (Exadata and ODA), and TDE configuration and support.
  • Bash/python scripting and automation experience.
