Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced communications and public affairs professional to lead our engagement with stakeholders and key sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of media relations, stakeholder development, and digital media.

  • The successful candidate will develop and implement thought leadership activities that showcase our organization's expertise in humanitarian aid.
  • They will collaborate with our global team to identify and capitalize on opportunities for engagement and partnerships.
  • The role requires a graduate degree in PR, journalism, communications, or marketing, as well as over 10 years of experience in communications/public affairs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute a comprehensive communications strategy that aligns with our organizational goals.
  2. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, business leaders, and civil society organizations.
  3. Identify and leverage opportunities for thought leadership, such as publishing articles, speaking at conferences, and participating in media interviews.
  4. Collaborate with our global team to develop and implement joint communications strategies.
  5. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in communications and public affairs.

Requirements:

  • Graduate degree in PR, journalism, communications, or marketing.
  • Over 10 years of experience in communications/public affairs, with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong understanding of media relations, stakeholder development, and digital media.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
