About the Role

Budage Pty Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Practice Administrator to join our team in Melbourne. As an integral part of our Major Projects & Construction Practice, this role involves providing high-level administrative support to a Partner and their team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional secretarial and administrative support to a Partner and team of legal practitioners, with a focus on managing high-level administrative responsibilities.
  • Manage general accounts, monthly billing, client reporting, and expenses with a keen eye for detail.
  • File management and handling, including the opening and closing of matters.
  • Undertake conflict searches on firm data base and prepare conflict emails.
  • Prepare client Work Orders and monitor budgets.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a cohesive team of Practice Administrators supporting the wider MPC team and be willing to step in and assist other MPC team members during busy periods.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in an administrative and/or secretarial role, ideally in the legal sector.
  • Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong multitasking and prioritization skills, especially in high-pressure situations.
  • A flexible and proactive approach with a demonstrable drive to contribute to the business's success.
  • The ability to build and nurture positive relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Advanced technical skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Proficiency in billing processes, with previous experience using Aderant Expert software desirable.
