We are seeking a highly skilled Rail Scheduling Specialist to join our team in Port Hedland. As a key member of our rail operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our rail network.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of the rail network, covering the Port, Kanyirri, Thomas, and Rail Service Yards.
- Provide real-time technical support and guidance to field operations teams, facilitating timely and informed decision-making for on-the-ground teams.
- Utilise agile decision-making and contingency planning to schedule crews for both operational and maintenance activities.
- Adapt to dynamic conditions by addressing breakdowns and planned shunts in a prompt and effective manner.
- Manage weekly crew rostering using specialised rostering tools to ensure operational requirements are met efficiently and safely.
- Experience in rail operations, scheduling, or a similar industry.
- Strong decision-making skills with a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Proficiency in rostering tools and experience with crew logistics.
- Ability to respond quickly and effectively to breakdowns and scheduling changes.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
