Our Asphalt Operations team in Sydney is seeking a qualified Plant or Heavy Diesel Mechanic to fill a key role.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working independently, and consulting with operational teams on task prioritization
  • Ensuring mobile asphalt equipment and heavy vehicles comply with relevant safety standards
  • Maintaining equipment according to company requirements for operational purposes and objectives
  • Combining workshop and field-based tasks, including nighttime standby as required
  • Ensuring all necessary permits and safety documentation are in place before task commencement
  • Supervising contractors and labor onsite
  • Monitoring plant equipment for defects using our maintenance system
  • Conducting equipment assessments and reviews, and developing improvement plans

Requirements include:

  • Trade qualification in Plant Mechanic or Heavy Diesel Mechanic
  • HR License (desired)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and a focus on safety
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships
  • Self-motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision
