Our Asphalt Operations team in Sydney is seeking a qualified Plant or Heavy Diesel Mechanic to fill a key role.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working independently, and consulting with operational teams on task prioritization
- Ensuring mobile asphalt equipment and heavy vehicles comply with relevant safety standards
- Maintaining equipment according to company requirements for operational purposes and objectives
- Combining workshop and field-based tasks, including nighttime standby as required
- Ensuring all necessary permits and safety documentation are in place before task commencement
- Supervising contractors and labor onsite
- Monitoring plant equipment for defects using our maintenance system
- Conducting equipment assessments and reviews, and developing improvement plans
Requirements include:
- Trade qualification in Plant Mechanic or Heavy Diesel Mechanic
- HR License (desired)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and a focus on safety
- Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships
- Self-motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision
