Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Plant or Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Seven Hills.

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified mechanic to take on the role of service and maintenance requirements for mobile asphalt plant equipment and heavy vehicle fleet.

Responsibilities:
  • Work independently, prioritizing tasks with operational teams
  • Ensure mobile asphalt equipment and heavy vehicles comply with relevant safety standards
  • Maintain equipment according to company requirements for operational purposes
  • Combination of workshop and field-based tasks available for nighttime standby as required
  • Ensure all relevant permits and safety paperwork is in place before commencement of tasks
  • Supervise contractor and labour onsite
  • Monitor plant equipment for any defects, utilizing our maintenance system
  • Undertake equipment assessments and reviews developing improvement plans
Requirements:
  • Trade Qualified Plant Mechanic or Heavy Diesel Mechanic
  • HR License desirable
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills and a safety-first focus
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
