About the role
We are seeking enthusiastic and hardworking Asphalt Crew Staff to join our team at State Asphalt Services Pty in NSW.
The role is:
- A permanent role.
- Need to be able to work flexible hours with weekend or night work (Sunday - Thursday) and potential rural travel as necessary to meet client requirements.
- Available for immediate commencement.
- Works will be across the Sydney metro, Greater Sydney areas and regional NSW.
What you'll be doing
- Assisting the asphalt paving crew with manual labour tasks such as raking, shoveling and compacting asphalt
- Preparing the worksite by clearing debris and setting up safety barriers and signage
- Operating small equipment and hand tools required for asphalt work
- Operating mobile plant such as asphalt pavers, roller, bobcat (where licenced and skilled)
- Maintaining a clean and tidy work environment throughout the project
- Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe worksite
What we're looking for
- Strong physical fitness and stamina to handle the demands of manual labour work
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills on the job
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship
- A valid driver's licence
- Previous experience and demonstrated competency working within the road construction industry is desirable but not essential.
- General Construction Induction Card – White Card.
- VOC tickets would be highly desirable.
- Possess a strong commitment to safety.
