Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Strategic Business Resilience Manager to lead the development and implementation of a Business Resilience Framework in partnership with relevant business owners. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the delivery of fit for purpose business resilience management systems, designing and delivering education, training, and information to ensure ongoing maturity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a Business Resilience Framework in partnership with relevant business owners
  • Lead the delivery of business resilience management systems
  • Design and deliver education, training, and information to ensure ongoing maturity
  • Provide strategic advice and recommendations to executive management
  • Develop and foster strategically important relationships with key externals such as emergency services, regulatory, and government agencies
  • Lead the Crisis Management Team and ensure strategic response is undertaken in conjunction with operational first line response to an emergency or adverse event
  • Contribute to the CISO leadership team and undertake related projects and initiatives for continuous improvement
  • Review and maintain disaster recovery practices, documentation, and relevant templates
  • Design, implement, and manage a schedule of disaster recovery exercises
  • Lead and manage Disaster Recovery Board meetings

Requirements

  • Significant experience in a similar business resilience leadership role, including implementation of framework, strategies, and managing business resilience-related risks
  • Significant leadership experience supporting and advising senior executive teams in strategic planning, business continuity, and/or risk management with proven planning, organisational, and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated practical experience in leading critical incident/crisis management functions, including effective coordination and mobilisation of teams during and post-event
  • A high level of interpersonal, cross-cultural, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to negotiate effectively and work through challenges
  • Excellent relationship management and consulting skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in an ambiguous environment
