You will lead the development of contract proposal estimates, post-award purchase orders, and subcontracts on construction projects with meticulous analysis.
About the Estimation Role- Prepare and assemble comprehensive bid proposals, including detailed estimates and soliciting pricing from vendors and subcontractors.
- Participate in bidding and pre-construction services, attending pre-bid meetings to determine project scope and required estimate contents.
- Conduct thorough research, negotiate, and prepare purchase orders and subcontracts for awarded projects, ensuring timely delivery.
- Minimum two years of relevant experience in commercial building markets as a construction estimator.
- Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required; degree in construction management or engineering ideal.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for seamless interactions with subcontractors, vendors, and operations staff.
- Proficiency in utilizing estimating software, such as WinEst and On-Screen Takeoff, is essential.
