Job Opportunity

The successful project lead will be responsible for managing a project from conception to full estimate. This requires the ability to work in a team environment, facilitate accurate estimates, and possess construction market knowledge.

Main Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed cost analyses by examining project drawings, specifications, and RFP's.
  • Solicit projects and obtain quotes from subcontractors and vendors.
  • Analyze subcontractor and vendor quotes to confirm scope.
  • Develop preliminary construction schedules for estimating and preconstruction purposes.
  • Prepare initial budgets and estimates for projects.
  • Develop relationships with subcontractors for the solicitation of bids.
  • Participate in interview processes as required.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, architects, engineers, and project teams.
  • Participate in site meetings and accurately interpret existing conditions.
  • Prepare, coordinate, review, and distribute construction estimates.
  • Update unit, labor, material, and equipment rates in databases.
  • Prepare reports and analysis pertinent to construction estimating.
  • Maintain an estimating schedule for all priced projects.
  • Assist project management with proper turnover of estimates.
Requirements
  • Familiarity with contract administration and capable of assuming these duties.
  • Prior experience in commercial construction precon/estimating is essential.
Industry Expertise
  • Corporate office, restaurant, retail, medical, and amenities are primary markets.
  • Familiarity with healthcare, amenity buildings, corporate office, hospitality, retail, senior living, and restaurant industries is preferred.

  • Estimating and contract management expertise.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and construction software.
