Job Title: Maintenance Fitter

The company is a Sydney-based, family-owned and managed Quarrying, Resources and Recycling Company.

With over 40 years of experience in the industry, the company has expanded into mining and continues to acquire and develop new deposits for extraction throughout the Sydney region.

As a Maintenance Fitter, you will be responsible for:

  • Steel fabrication & welding of new & replacement parts
  • Scheduled maintenance of Plant, Crushing Plant and Timber Shredder
  • Emergency repairs of Plant, Crushing Plant and Timber Shredder
  • Team input to improve current plant design and assist with re-engineering and installation
  • Gas Cutting Gas Welding Arc Welding Mig Welding

Key skills required include:

  • Ability to work in a high pressured, high paced environment
  • Competent and working alone and as part of a team
  • Ability to interpret plans & designs
  • Awareness of working environment with heavy plant machinery
  • Good eye for detail
  • Ability to work in a confined area

You are required to adhere to, and take responsibility for, all company policies including Occupational Health & Safety policy, Environment policy, Vehicle policy, Computer policy, Confidentiality Policy, Quality, General housekeeping and sweeping as required.

This is a full-time, permanent position offering guaranteed annual earnings of at least $70,000 + Super.
