Heavy Plant Mechanic Role Overview:

We are seeking a qualified and skilled Heavy Plant Mechanic to join our team at South Keswick Quarry, based in Dubbo. This role is perfect for individuals with experience in heavy vehicle mechanics who are looking to transition into plant maintenance.

The successful candidate will have excellent time management skills, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Performing routine repairs and preventative maintenance on vehicles, plant, and mobile equipment
  • Owning repairs and ensuring efficient workflow while maintaining a clean and safe working environment
  • Coordinating with suppliers to source parts based on quality and price
  • Maintaining effective communication with all staff and supervisors

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a repair and maintenance role
  • Sound knowledge of diesel engines and emissions systems
  • Understanding of drivetrain, brakes, and suspension systems
  • Ability to work flexible hours and meet tight schedules
