Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing electrical and mechanical fault finding and repair work on a range of heavy plant equipment, including straddle carriers, reach stackers, forklift trucks and quay cranes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical and mechanical trade qualifications, with a minimum of 10 years post-apprenticeship experience. They will also possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and without direct supervision.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Carrying out electrical and mechanical fault finding and repair work on a range of heavy plant equipment
  • Performing preventative maintenance on all terminal equipment
  • Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with company OHS&E regulations
  • Working collaboratively with other teams to achieve business objectives
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Australian or recognized Electrical Mechanical trade qualification
  • Minimum completion of year 10
  • Forklift operator's license
  • Elevated work platform license
  • Knowledge of current ports mechanical and electrical crane control systems
