Heavy Plant Maintenance Technician">

We are seeking a highly skilled Heavy Plant Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for performing routine and preventative maintenance on heavy plant equipment, including earth moving equipment, heavy duty forklift trucks, container handling equipment, mining equipment, marine equipment, generating sets, and electrics forklifts.

Job Description:

  • ">
  • Perform corrective maintenance repairs, general repair work, and preventative maintenance on all Terminal equipment.">
  • Carry out fault finding and emergency breakdown repairs on Straddle Carriers, Reach Stackers, Forklift trucks, Quay cranes, and ancillary equipment.">
  • Carry out PM servicing as required in compliance with PM schedules provided.">

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • ">
  • Australian or recognized Mechanical trade qualification.">
  • Minimum completion of year 10.">
  • Disconnect Reconnect restricted electrical license.">
  • Forklift operator's license.">
  • Elevated work platform license.">
  • Knowledge of the current ports mechanical and electrical crane control systems.">
  • Demonstrate knowledge in the operation of mechanical boom and cable equipment to troubleshoot machine problems and evaluate the correctness and completeness of repairs.">
  • Understanding of the crane operations and inspect associated machines or heavy equipment to diagnose defects.">
  • Examines Parts for damage or excessive wear using micrometers and gauges.">
  • Reads, understands, and interprets operating manuals, parts manuals, and technical drawings.">
