Hotel Operations Director

Director of Rooms leads the Front Office and Housekeeping departments, ensuring high standards are maintained for the hotel.

This role reports directly to the General Manager and requires a dynamic leader with experience in driving team performance, development, and goal alignment.

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Align department activities with Hyatt Rooms Strategy and implement hotel actions where appropriate.
  • Participate in business optimisation/revenue management meetings and oversee pricing structures to maximise yield and profits.
  • Conduct regular divisional communications meetings and ensure effective departmental briefings and meetings.
  • Handle guest and internal customer matters in a courteous and efficient manner, resolving problems satisfactorily.
  • Lead and monitor Medallia (HySat) providing timely responses and achieving/exceeding guest satisfaction scores.
  • Maximise employee productivity through multi-skilling, multi-tasking, and flexible scheduling to meet financial goals and guest expectations.
  • Oversight of Rooms experience from check-in to check-out for all guests, working with Managers to ensure a seamless guest experience.

About The Role

The ideal candidate has recent 5-star hotel experience as a Director of Rooms, ideally with knowledge of Opera and Microster. A university degree or diploma in Hospitality or Tourism management is preferred.

  • Takes ownership of rooms division elements, including OSE, ordering, guest needs, team recruitment and development, and revenue growth strategies.
