Job Title: Product Design Lead - Consumer Facing

This is a pivotal role in shaping and executing the vision for accommodation funnels that directly engage our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage scope of work for your team, and determine how to divide work amongst designers.
  • Lead design strategy for complex initiatives and grow design leaders.
  • Drive design vs business objectives and measurement alignment on core product initiatives that the design or product team drives.
  • Ensure successful execution by your team. Surface questions, bottlenecks, dependencies, and conflicts with stakeholders when needed. Ensure high quality design decisions are made.
  • Maintain and apply a process for effective design.
  • Build a healthy, high performing team. Hire designers to fill open headcount. Foster a positive culture on your team.
  • Coach and mentor direct reports to grow competencies and careers.
  • Lead projects to define and sell a coherent medium to long term vision, with milestones and short term actions; build the design organization as part of wider company strategy.
  • Represent the team to leadership: ensure priorities are understood, advocate for the team, and flag challenges.
  • Partner with a design leadership team to shape management practices and mentor other design leaders.
