About the Position

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a culturally diverse and inclusive work environment as a Clinical Nurse Educator. The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding staff through tailored orientation and cultural supervision, working closely with colleagues to deliver culturally safe practices and support indigenous staff.

The role of Clinical Nurse Educator plays a vital part in enhancing our ability to provide a culturally safe workplace. Orientation is delivered at the beginning and end of each week, including staff rounding, dedicated cultural supervision, and participation in activities such as cultural celebrations, meetings, and consultation forums.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement tailored orientation programs for new staff members.
  • Provide ongoing cultural supervision and support to ensure staff feel valued and included.
  • Design and deliver culturally sensitive education programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of staff.
Requirements
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with AHPRA.
  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or equivalent.
  • Aboriginal descent and eligibility under the Anti-Discrimination Act for identification as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.
