We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Midwife to join our team in providing high-quality healthcare services in remote communities across the Northern Territory.

Job Details:
  • Type: Locum
  • DURATION: 3-12 weeks
  • Location: Remote NT Communities

This is an excellent opportunity for registered midwives who wish to gain experience working in remote Aboriginal communities, develop their skills in culturally safe care, and contribute to improving health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver quality midwifery care to women and babies in a remote community setting
  • Work collaboratively with Aboriginal Health Practitioners, General Practitioners, nurses, and support staff
  • Develop and implement culturally sensitive care plans
  • Maintain accurate records and report any issues or concerns

As a registered midwife in this role, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, contribute to the development of culturally safe practice, and make a positive impact on the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

Requirements:
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife with AHPRA
  • Minimum 3 years postgraduate experience in midwifery
  • Minimum 2 years postgraduate experience as a Registered Nurse
  • 250 hours relevant clinical experience within the past 12 months
  • CPR/BLS certification
  • Recognised Immunisation certificate
  • Northern Territory Working with Children's Card
