Support Worker – Vulnerable Adult Care

Caring for individuals with Alzheimer's disease requires a high level of compassion, understanding and expertise. This role is ideal for individuals who have experience working with vulnerable adults and possess the skills to provide companion care and support.

Job Requirements

The successful candidate will have a background in disability care, specifically with Alzheimer's disease, and be able to work independently without supervision. They must also be comfortable with all aspects of personal care and be able to prepare meals and maintain a clean and safe living environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing companionship and support to individuals with Alzheimer's disease
  • Assisting with daily living activities, including personal care and hygiene tasks
  • Maintaining a clean and safe living environment through meal preparation and household duties

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time or part-time positions available
  • Flexible scheduling to accommodate your needs
  • Ongoing training and support to enhance your skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Current NDIS worker screening ID (preferred)
  • First aid certificate (completed in the past 3 years) (preferred)
  • CPR certificate (completed in the past 12 months) (preferred)
  • Working with children's check (preferred)
  • Driver's license and fully insured car (preferred)

Location: In-person, within the northern region of Victoria

Expected Hours: 12-36 hours per week

Rate: $38.45 - $48.61 per hour
