Electrical Engineer for Strategic Asset Optimization

The Senior Asset Improvement Engineer (E&I) will play a crucial role in our team, responsible for planning, managing, executing and commissioning/completing strategic capital electrical and instrumentation programs for our plants in accordance with Australian engineering codes and standards.
You will work closely with Production, Maintenance and T&I departments to ensure the effective operation and maintenance of key equipment, driving business outcomes and improving overall efficiency.
Key Accountabilities- Provide technical leadership to drive and support E&I capital projects, ensuring successful delivery and alignment with business goals
- Custodian for plant governance & compliance for E&I statutory equipment, methods and processes, maintaining high standards of quality and safety
- Develop and manage medium-long term E&I asset management plans to achieve business goals, identifying opportunities for improvement and cost reduction
- Prepare and effectively administer budgets for E&I projects/programs, leveraging your expertise to optimize resources and deliver value
- Lead, prepare and engage in risk assessments workshops, facilitating Root Cause Analysis (RCA) of major plant E&I detractors, and develop life cycle cost analysis to determine the optimum whole of life asset strategy
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline
- Significant post-graduate experience (10+ yrs) and in-depth knowledge in areas such as project management of capital projects for plant E&I systems, HV/LV Switchgear MCC, HV Distribution, Transformer and Packaged equipment, and current applicable Australian E&I standards and Codes
- CPEng or eligible for CPEng accreditation leading to NER Registration, which will be advantageous
- A high level of organisation, time and project management skills, with proven ability to multitask and operate effectively in a high-pressure environment
- A strong communicator with excellent stakeholder management abilities, able to work autonomously and collaboratively within a dynamic team environment
