Quality Assurance Specialist

This is a unique opportunity to work on quality assurance for a hydro power project. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the site quality processes are implemented in accordance with company policies and contractual requirements.
The ideal candidate will have a university degree in QA/QC or equivalent industry experience, with previous demonstrated experience in quality management for large projects or in similar industries.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting and implementing continuous improvement systems, including Root Cause Analysis and lessons learned.
- Closing cooperation and coordination of all quality activities with site supervisors and contractors.
- Working closely with the site installation team to ensure that work is completed safely, in accordance with quality standards, customer requirements, and schedule.
The successful candidate will be a collaborative team player with a customer- and people-oriented approach, accountable, and solution-driven. They will also have proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP, and be able to communicate both verbally and in writing in English in an international team environment.
Physical requirements include being able to pass pre-employment medical, drug & alcohol test and police check, and being able to stand, walk and climb as necessary.
The position is based in Cooma, Australia, and requires a typical roster of 14 days in, 7 days out, with camp accommodation provided.
