**Job Description**
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated professional to provide high-quality counselling services to clients affected by sexual, domestic, and family violence.
About the Role:
The Trauma Specialist Counsellor role is a part-time position working a minimum of two night shifts (10:45pm - 7:00am) across a fortnight. You will be providing client-centered, non-judgmental, feminist, supportive, and responsive services to people affected by violence and their supporters.
This is a dynamic and varied position, requiring you to work independently and as part of a team. You will provide crisis and ongoing counselling services across various sexual assault, domestic violence, and Redress services, as well as vicarious trauma support to professionals.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality counselling services to clients affected by sexual, domestic, and family violence;
- Work independently and as part of a team to provide crisis and ongoing counselling services;
- Provide vicarious trauma support to professionals;
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A minimum four-year bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or counselling;
- Minimum three years (full-time equivalent) counselling experience;
- Superior emotional competence when operating in a high-demand trauma environment;
