Trauma Recovery Specialist
About the Role:We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Trauma Recovery Specialist. This role involves working with a 14-year-old young woman who has experienced complex trauma and presents with psychosocial disabilities.
The successful applicant will be responsible for creating a positive and nurturing therapeutic environment through the provision of trauma-informed care. They will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team to support the young person in achieving their recovery goals.
Required Skills and Qualifications:To be considered for this position, you will need:
- A strong background in youth work or a related field
- Experience working with children and young people in a residential care setting
- An understanding of legislation relevant to the role
- Demonstrated ability to provide trauma-informed care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Crisis management knowledge and intermediate computer skills
In addition, a Diploma in Youth Work or Community Services or Mental Health is highly desirable.
Benefits:This is a casual part-time role, requiring a minimum of 30 hours per week. The hourly rate is $43.08. You will have the opportunity to work with a skilled and supportive team and gain valuable experience in trauma recovery.

Essential Requirements for the role include:
- Diploma in Youth Work or Community Services or Mental Health
- NSW Working With Children Check
- NDIS Worker Clearance Check
- Evidence of Australian Citizenship/Permanent Residency
- National Police Check (less than six months old)
- 100 points of ID - 3 documents
- Current NSW Drivers Licence
- Evidence of Vehicle Registration and Comprehensive Vehicle Insurance
- Current First Aid/CPR Certificate
- The required NDIS Orientation Modules
- 2 sector-relevant reference checks
