Event Coordinator Opportunity
This role is primarily responsible for the coordination and delivery of events, including private celebrations, weddings, conferences and corporate gatherings. The position is dynamic, fast-paced and customer-driven, focusing on events but also including private bookings.
Responsibilities- Handle enquiries and generate leads for events and charters
- Maintain communication with teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to meet client expectations and ensure successful repeat events
- Source new business opportunities and actively participate in meetings for effective communication and collaboration
- Manage dining enquiries, bookings, prepayments, and guests' special requests
- Minimum of 12 months of experience in sales, events/event management, or FOH dining operations required
- Strong interpersonal skills, coupled with professional written and verbal communication
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, coupled with previous experience using reservations systems
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to work under pressure, manage multiple events and adapt to changing priorities with tight deadlines
- Proficiency with budgets and demonstrated experience meeting targets/KPIs
- Excellent food & beverage knowledge
- Responsible Service of Alcohol (or willing to obtain)
- Safe Food Handling Certificate (or willing to obtain)
