About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Director to join our team at FTI Consulting, Inc. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and closing sales for our product offerings and technology services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate the value proposition of our entire portfolio to clients and instill confidence in our credibility and experience.
  • Qualify, generate, and execute on opportunities that provide profitable revenue to FTI Consulting.
  • Build an effective pipeline and execute on each phase of the sales process.
  • Incorporate knowledge of our products and services, the customer, and key competitors into the sales process to uncover customer needs and create value-based solutions.
  • Work effectively as a team member and facilitate the sales opportunity by providing leadership and orchestrating internal and external resources.
  • Accurately forecast business on a consistent basis.
  • Leverage the value of our solutions in the negotiation process to drive maximum margin for the company.
  • Establish customer relationships that enable FTI Consulting to be viewed as a trusted advisor.

Qualifications and Expectations
  • Bachelor's degree (preferably a Law degree along with experience at a major law firm or corporate legal department).
  • 5+ years of success selling software and/or consultancy services.
  • Minimum 3 years of success selling software and/or services in the Information governance, eDiscovery, digital forensic, or cyber security markets to law firms and/or corporations.
  • Polished executive presence with ability to interact with senior corporate lawyers and business leaders as a consultative partner.
  • Comfortable and fluent with eDiscovery technology and document review terminology.
  • This role will require travel to client and FTI offices.
