Senior Railway Infrastructure Specialist

The role of a track and civil engineer is pivotal in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of railways. As a highly skilled professional in this field, you will be responsible for providing technical advice and support to the business.
This position requires a deep understanding of railway engineering, including routine maintenance, project delivery, design, and asset management. You will be working closely with internal and external parties to review designs and provide expert input.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing technical advice on track and civil infrastructure matters.
- Reviewing designs from internal and external parties.
- Leading investigations into root causes of incidents related to track or civil infrastructure.
- Developing and maintaining asset strategies for CRN assets.
- Assisting in developing, maintaining, and updating standards, manuals, specifications, and technical notes within their discipline area.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering or related discipline.
- 8+ years of practice in track, permanent way, or rail geotechnical roles.
- Knowledge of project management structure, plans, specifications, and implications for project accountabilities.
