Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Track and Civil Engineer to lead our railway track and civil engineering initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in track and civil engineering, with experience in project delivery, maintenance, design, and asset management. They will be knowledgeable about project management structure, plans, specifications, standards, and implications for project accountabilities.

This role requires a high level of expertise in track and civil engineering, including welding track stability analysis, rerailing, rail grinding, track resurfacing, turnout works, level crossing works, and ballast cleaning. The successful candidate will also assist in developing, maintaining, and updating all standards, manuals, specifications, technical notes, and waivers within their discipline area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide track and civil technical advice to maintenance, projects, design, and asset management functions.
  • Review designs for track and civil infrastructure from internal and external parties.
  • Lead technical investigations into root causes of incidents where track or civil infrastructure is suspected to be at fault.
  • Provide input into short and long-term renewals and maintenance plans.
  • Assist in developing, maintaining, and updating all standards, manuals, specifications, technical notes, and waivers within their discipline area.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in an Engineering or related discipline.
  • 8+ years of practice in track, permanent way, or rail geotechnical roles.
  • Knowledge of project management structure, plans, specifications, standards, and implications for project accountabilities.
