Maintenance engineers are essential in ensuring the efficient operation of rail networks.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure site safety, quality and environment controls by supporting and monitoring maintenance activities and project delivery.
- Make engineering decisions on the integrity of civil assets.
- Assess defect management by CRN maintenance teams to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
- Review track and civil asset performance analysis to ensure track safety and integrity.
- Analyse data to produce progress and project performance reporting.
- Anticipate specialist equipment requirements to minimise risks to health and safety.
- Investigate new technologies and trial products.
- Support project planning and prioritisation, including identification, scoping and implementation.
- Prepare expenditure budgets and forecasts for track and civil functions.
- Coordinate construction engineering activities to implement projects according to plans and specifications.
- Maintain awareness of technical and financial aspects of track and civil functions.
- Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience in a related field.
- Ability to analyse complex data and make informed decisions.
- Strong communication and team working skills.
