The Senior Track and Civil Engineer is responsible for providing technical advice, scope content, investigations, and assurance activities for the Country Regional Network (CRN).
Key Responsibilities- Provide track and civil technical expertise to maintenance, projects, design, and asset management functions.
- Review designs for track and civil infrastructure from internal and external parties.
- Lead technical investigations into root causes of incidents involving track or civil infrastructure.
- Contribute to short- and long-term renewal and maintenance plans in areas such as rerailing, rail grinding, track resurfacing, turnout works, level crossing works, and ballast cleaning.
- Provide engineering input to assets teams to develop, update, and maintain asset strategies for CRN assets.
- Assist in developing, maintaining, and updating standards, manuals, specifications, technical notes, and waivers within their discipline.
- Facilitate Welded Track Stability analysis by maintaining the WTSA system.
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of practice in track, permanent way, or rail geotechnical roles.
- Knowledge of project management structure, plans, specifications, standards, and implications for project accountabilities.
