The role of Maternity Care Professional involves delivering high-quality patient care and experience to women and their families.
This position is part of a dynamic team that includes midwives, obstetricians, and neonatologists working together in a post-natal ward setting. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a dedicated team and contribute to the development of maternity care services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based midwifery care and provide exceptional patient experience
- Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure effective communication and collaboration
- Ensure patient and staff safety through adherence to established protocols and procedures
- Supervise, direct, and guide midwifery/nursing team members to deliver high-quality patient care
- Deliver education and support to mothers and their families to promote healthy outcomes
Requirements:
- Current Midwifery Registration with AHPRA
- Current NSW Working with Children Check
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Special Care Nursery experience advantageous
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
- Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work well independently and within a team
- Basic computer skills
