Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to lead and support key safety, quality, and risk management initiatives. This full-time role offers an opportunity to impact person-centered care through coordination, reporting, and quality improvement projects across multiple sites.

About the Role:
As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will coordinate safety, quality, and risk management processes within Addiction and Mental Health Services. You will provide essential support to staff, service leaders, and consumers, ensuring a high standard of care aligned with organizational values and patient safety goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage quality and safety initiatives, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Utilize applications such as CIMHA, Office 365 (SharePoint, Forms), and RiskMan to support data management and reporting.
  • Provide administrative oversight of clinical incidents, open disclosure, patient safety notifications, and service improvement documentation.
  • Support quality and safety committees and projects, assisting the Director, Safety Quality & Improvement Support Unit.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and promote inclusivity and respect across diverse communities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Strong knowledge of quality management, safety, and risk systems in healthcare settings.
• Proficient in data management and reporting using databases, spreadsheets, and relevant software.
• Ability to innovate and resolve problems with a solution-focused mindset.
• High-level interpersonal and communication skills for engaging diverse teams and consumers.
