Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our national Project Management Office (PMO) team.

  • The Quality Assurance Specialist will support the implementation and continuous improvement of inspection and testing systems, ensuring practical, consistent application across high-voltage infrastructure projects.
  • This role involves working closely with Engineering, Project Delivery, and Construction teams to embed quality into every stage of the project lifecycle - from planning and design, through to site execution and commissioning.

This is a high-impact, collaborative role that offers opportunities to influence how Australia's future energy assets are delivered.

Main Responsibilities
  • Drive standardisation and continual improvement of inspection and testing processes across projects
  • Support project teams in setting up and implementing Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and Certificates (ITCs)
  • Conduct internal and supplier audits, reviews, and system health checks
  • Champion non-conformance and root cause analysis processes
  • Provide hands-on quality support on-site during key project phases
  • Deliver training and guidance to project teams to enhance quality capabilities and embed best practices
About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • At least 3 years' experience in quality, preferably on high-voltage energy or civil infrastructure projects from either a project-based or centralised function role
  • Recognised qualifications in Quality Management or a related field
  • Certified or qualified quality auditor, with demonstrated experience planning and conducting audits in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 or equivalent
  • Practical experience developing and implementing ITPs, ITCs, and inspection/testing systems
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001, and familiarity with AS3000, AS3600, and AS4100
