About the Business

People2People is partnering with a leading, global logistics provider who have built their business on quality service and top performing teams. Established over a century ago, their objective is to propel business and enhance lives by influencing the manner in which the world connects.

About the Role

The Business Development Manager will participate in sales activities with a focus on identifying new opportunities, increasing revenue and building long-term, trusting relationships in the Brisbane market. The successful candidate will ensure they understand their clients' needs and provide them with solutions and costings that meet their needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to increase revenue
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Provide solutions and costings that meet clients' needs
  • Work closely with the Head of Ocean Freight to achieve sales targets

Requirements:

  • Experience in Freight Forwarding / Logistics / Transport industry
  • External sales experience advantageous but an industry understanding with the hunger to grow will stand you in good stead
  • Highly effective communication / interpersonal skills - with stakeholder engagement experience and a hunter approach
  • Strong business acumen with an understanding of government requirements and legislation
