We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Culinary Team Member to join our team at Sheraton Hotels & Resorts.


About the Role:


This is an exciting opportunity to work with a global brand that values diversity, equity, and inclusion. As a Culinary Team Member, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients for cooking, washing and peeling fresh fruits and vegetables, weighing and measuring ingredients, and preparing and cooking food according to recipes and quality standards.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food.
  • Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables.
  • Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients.
  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist.
  • Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
  • Test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently.
  • Monitor food quality while preparing food.
  • Set-up and break down work station.
  • Serve food in proper portions onto proper receptacles.
  • Wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
  • Check and ensure the correctness of the temperature of appliances and food.

Requirements:



  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of related work experience.
  • No supervisory experience required.
